I’ve run out of things to say. Perhaps I need a break, or maybe it’s just spring that has taken over my brain. I can’t stop thinking about digging and find myself unconsciously lingering in the local Home Depot lawn and garden section singing Johnny Cash songs LOL. Yes I'm the weirdo singing "Jackson" in a terribly off key voice near the Geraniums, Impatients and Petunias. Do I get odd looks? Of course. Do I care? Not particularly. I seriously doubt that other Home Depot shoppers can sing better than me, which is not saying that much. Nothing terribly exciting about planning a balcony garden but it keeps me occupied. A few weeks ago the cherry trees in front of my building bloomed, it was beautiful. There was a light breeze and suddenly it snowed pink blossoms; they gently swirled, floating on some mystical spring current. It was a Zen moment for me. I’ve been in garden mode ever since.

Trust me, I can sympathize...I'm DYING to dig into the lawn and make some gardens. I've been given the okay by the super so I'm just ithcin' to start lol. The really sad part is, there are no flowers to be seen in Northern Ontario right now. We have an abnormally early spring so there's nothing!! I started some from seed just to make myself feel better lol

lol it's all good when spring comes 'round! I've got my geraniums and sweet peas planted but not outside yet. I figure my balcony is gonna look good once everything blooms and I move my Jade Tree out there.

Cool. :o)....I have plans to make a nice garden along the wall, and make it a little larger at the end so I can add some things like hostas in there. It's basically going to be an annuals garden because I don't want to spend a lot of money on perennials if we're going to be moving in a year or so. I have plans for some hostas, and some pixie lilies (which I want to plant in pots). I'm trying my hand at lavender this year, and I already have morning glories starting from seed. I want impatiens, pansies, and of course some hanging pots. Ahhh I'm so excited!!! lol...Maybe I'll go browse around Home Depot anyways, just to make myself even more sick for gardening lol.

on a separate note: i do believe you have plenty of things to say and you've just proved it. don't try to force and you'll do allright.

on a related note: sara - beware of lavender. it grows well...too well. tends to take over everything in its path so give it a lot of space or plan to use a pot.

Holy shit S where the hell have you been? LOL Thought I lost you there. I'm so glad to see you! I wanted to post a link to your blog under The Posse but for some reason I can't get it to work.
Thanks, I'm just tired, too much sitting in traffic over the Easter weekend and other thoughts weigh heavily on me at the moment. Un-postible for the time being.

S: Yup...my mom's given me fair warning hehe. She yanked some out years ago and she still gets it popping up! So I'm doing a pot, as well as it's own little section of the garden. I figure what do I care, it's just an apartment :oP...let the next people worry about it LOL. I just love the smell and look of it so much, I have to at least TRY and grow it lol.

Bea: I'm thinkin' I might just drag matt around for some garden shopping tonight lol.

Ewwww....I hate Jello....lol no seriously...it's a texture issue, and a jiggle issue...and it's just gross. I know everyone thinks I'm sick and everybody and their dog loves jello (I've gotten shit for this from tons of people lol), but I just can't bring myself to eat it. :oP...but I get your point LOL.
